You will need:
-Beads (I used 6mm fire-polished beads)
-Headpins
-Jump rings
-Lobster claw clasp
-Needle nose pliers
-Side cutters
1. String 3 beads onto a headpin.
2. Using needle nose pliers, bend the end of the headpin up at a 90 degree angle, leaving about a 1/4 inch tail.
3. Using side cutters, snip off the excess wire, leaving a small loop.
4. Open the loop and add a jump ring. Close the jump ring using needle nose pliers.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you have enough charms for your purse! Mine took about 35 charms.
6. To attach the charms to your purse, simply open a jump ring and hook it onto one of the strands of beading on your purse (mine had 6 strands).
Close the jump ring using needle nose pliers. Attach as many or as few charms as you like!
- String a needle with thread and tie a knot at the end
- String on beads in the desired pattern
- Make sure to leave enough room at the end of the thread to knot it again
- Once you have reached the desired length, knot the thread again and trim any excess
- Attach a jump ring to each end of the charm and your purse is now adorned with a beautiful, handmade beaded charm!

How Do You Make Beaded Charms?
Charm bracelets are a fun and popular way to accessorize, and beaded charms are a great way to personalize your charm bracelet. Making your own beaded charms is a relatively easy process, and with some practice you can create beautiful, unique charms that will add personality to your charm bracelet. Here’s a quick guide to making beaded charms:
1. Choose your beads. The type of beads you use will largely depend on the look you’re going for with your charm. There are all sorts of beads available in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes, so take some time to browse before making your final selection.
Keep in mind that larger beads will be easier to work with than smaller beads.
2. Assemble your materials. In addition to beads, you’ll need some thin wire or thread, wire cutters or scissors, and pliers (optional).
You may also want to use a bead board or tray to keep your beads organized while you work.
3. Cut a length of wire or thread. The length of wire or thread you need will depend on how many beads you want to use in your charm.
A good rule of thumb is to cut the wire or thread twice as long as the finished charm will be (including any loops). For example, if you want a finished charm that is 1 inch long, cut the wire or thread 2 inches long. This will give you plenty of room to work with and make it easier to attach the loop at the end.
4 . String the first bead onto the wire or thread . If using pliers , grasp the end of the wire with one hand and feed the first bead onto the wire with the other hand .
How Do You Put a Charm on a Purse?
If you want to add a touch of personalization and style to your purse, then adding a charm is a great way to do it! Charms come in all sorts of different designs, so you can choose one that reflects your personality or interests. Plus, they’re relatively easy to attach – all you need is a little bit of time and patience.
Here’s how to put a charm on a purse:
1. Start by selecting the charm you want to use. Make sure it’s the right size for your purse – too large and it will look out of place, too small and it could get lost amongst everything else inside the bag!
2. Once you’ve found the perfect charm, take a close look at where you want to attach it. Some purses have loops or D-rings where charms can be easily clipped on, but if yours doesn’t have anything like this then you may need to get creative. A safety pin or piece of Velcro can work well as an improvised attachment method.
3. If your chosen attachment spot looks a little bare, consider adding some embellishments around the area first. This could be something as simple as wrapping some thread around the base of the loop or attaching some beads nearby. This step is entirely optional, but it can help make your finished project look more polished and professional.
4. Now it’s time to actually attach the charm! If using a clip-on style, simply open up the clasp and hook it onto the desired location before closing it securely again. For other methods (such as safety pins), carefully thread the charm onto the accessory before fastening it in place – taking care not to poke yourself in the process!
5. Give everything a final once-over to make sure that everything is secure before using your newly accessorized purse as normal. And that’s all there is to it!
